Niesha is one of the most well-known beauty bloggers on the scene right now, recognized for her gorgeous hair & impeccable style. Her clever use of remixing means her looks always seem new & exciting. Her looks are always feminine, without being too girly & everything she combines has a perfectly pulled-together feel, even when she mixes colors you'd never think of combining.
My Interview With Niesha
1. Tell me a little bit about yourself.
"Helloooo, my name is Niesha Jeenwal. I'm doing Masters in Science (Environmental science) & I'm also the owner of Indian Beauty Forever. I've also done a Diploma in Fashion Designing. My ancestors were from Rajasthan however, I've been born & brought up in New Delhi. I've visited Rajasthan only once but looking forward to visit quite often."
2. How would you define your looks??
"I don't know but that's for sure I don't look Rajasthani at all. That might be due to my not so sharp features & very fair color. Well, I'm only fair but people have this perception that I'm almost white..which isn't true at all & thanks to my camera which makes me too white sometimes which I dislike...urghhh."
3. How did you find your personal sense of style??
"I'm more like a girl next door who is sweet with chubby cheeks & big eyes & minimalistic makeup of course. But whenever I'm going out then casual isn't my style. It has to be a bit glamorous or chic, whether it's make up or clothes."
4. What inspired you to start a beauty blog??? What motivates you???
"I absolutely ♥ makeup. I've like so many things that I wanted to share with the world. So many thoughts which I wanted to contribute & what can be better than a personal blog to fulfill your hobby & share thoughts."
5. Did you go to beauty school??
"He he..no..not at all. I'm self taught. And still have to learn a lot."
6. Where do you like to shop???
"I'm more like a street shopper since I get bored of using & wearing the same things again & again. I invest in things which I actually would like to keep or use or cherish for a longer period of time."
7. What advice do you have for girls interested in makeup on a budget???
"There're a lot of brands in India available that can provide great quality makeup on a budget like Maybelline being my personal favorite. Pick products that actually suit you not just for the sake of their beautiful color or packaging. Invest in products that you'll be using regularly more. Buy the basics like black eye liner, neutral eye shadows, a good mascara & a lipstick that goes with the complexion for day time & a shade for night time."
8. Who/what inspires you???
"Randomly anything under the sun."
9. What are the products you couldn't live without???
"Ahh that's a question for which I don't have to think for a second. I can't live without my lip color. It can be any natural colored lipstick or lip balm. Since I've features that can be instantly brightened up by using just a dash of lip color. Other than that I like mascara. I'm so much in ♥ with Maybelline mascaras these days."
10. What advice do you have for new bloggers or people considering starting a blog???
"Be genuine. If you want your blog to be a success then writing original content is most important. Try to be innovative. Always learn & get inspired from other bloggers rather than mere copying ideas. Don't spam other blogs by commenting with links. Learn some SEO (Search Engine Optimization), if you've written really good posts & only your friends are reading them then that's not fair, try to optimize your blog so that search engine & Google bots can actually crawl & find your content. Let the world know that you exist in blog world. Don't ever think that other blogs are competition. How can they be when they are run by different individuals with their own unique qualities & views to be shared about a topic or product. Try to update the blog at least 3-4 times a week if not daily. Well, that can also depend on the niche type. Blogging should be fun & try not to over indulge in it after all, personal life comes first."
11. What are your favorite color combinations???
"I ♥ gold & green, red & gold in makeup & in clothing I ♥ purple & black & black & white."
12. How do you remix your makeup to help it feel new & exciting??
"I've always been a creative person so most of the times I'll not restrict myself to use a product the way they are supposed to be. Like using a peachy eye shadow instead of a blush or a blush as eye shadow, mixing lip color to get the desired one. Make lip glosses out of the lipsticks & eye shadows which I'm not using."
13. What are your favorite products in your vanity right this second???
"Maybelline Gel Liner, L'Oreal Infalliable Eye Shadow, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Kiss Me Coral, Colorbar Velvet Matte in Obsessed Orange & Maybelline Baby Lips of course. (Maybelline rocked this year)"
