Spring has finally arrived!!!! Yes, I know that means we're all back to college & the daily grind, but it also brings fresh, new trends to test out. Now that you've stocked up on a new spring wardrobe, why not review & revise your beauty routine for the season, too?? After a winter of dark makeup, the dewy & sheer spring beauty trends are a breath of fresh air.
If you often find the looks from the runway overwhelming, don't worry, I've chosen 5 easy, ready-to-wear beauty looks that will update your look & easily transition from winter to spring.
Ready for the 5 hottest makeup trends of this season?? Keep reading to find out.
It was all about the eyes for spring/summer 2013, with jeweled lids at Dior, pink mascara at Donna Karan & Space Age silver at Chanel. Metallic shadow reigned at Versace, Giorgio Armani & Gucci, whilst at Topshop Unique & Clements Ribeiro, a wash of bold color on the lids lent a youthful prettiness.
2. Enhanced Minimalism
Unlike last spring, where the fewest possible products were used to create a genuine 'natural' look, this season's minimalism is all about a flawless finish. Skin was prepped to perfection, whilst a little clever contouring, a subtle curl of the lashes or a flush of pink on the cheeks gave the look an added dimension which set it apart from the average 'no make-up' look.
3. Focus Point: The Lower Lash Line
Born from the overarching '90s trend spanning both fashion & beauty, make-up artists seemed inexplicably drawn to the lower lash line. Grungy liner at Lanvin, Diane von Furstenberg, 3.1 Phillip Lim & Christopher Kane was smudged beneath the eyes, whilst the only pop of color at Stella McCartney was a flash of green on the water line. Meanwhile at Fendi, colored fabric strips were placed on the lower lash line for an arresting catwalk look.
4. Color pop
From bursts of fuchsia on the lips at Giles & Dries Van Noten to indigo, lime & magenta eyes at Altuzarra, Michael Kors & Donna Karan respectively, a vibrant jolt of color was emphasized even further by an otherwise stark beauty look in each case.
5. '60s
There was all-out '60s beauty (complete with filled-in brows, nude lips & doe eyes) at Marc Jacobs, but whether it was the banana-shaped creases in the eye socket at Michael Kors, the symphony of pastels at Louis Vuitton or the mega lashes at Moschino, that most swinging of decades made its mark across all 4 fashion weeks.
Personally, I ♥ all of these spring beauty trends, but I'm dying to try out a statement fuchsia lip this weekend. Which spring beauty trend is your favorite??? Have you already tried any of these out?? And are there any essential spring beauty looks I missed?

Nice.:)
